Hut site in Baile An Chnocáin (tc Cill Chuain)

Situated on the lower W slopes of Brandon mountain, circular cashel KE034-022---- contains the remains of at least 7 stone huts and a Man-made underground passage. (6) The enclosure wall at SSW forms the inner face of a hut which has undergone substantial modification. The E wall has been rebuilt but not along the original outline. To S a wall-cupboard occurs at present ground level and W of this the wall stands 1.6m high. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey.
