What is recorded here

An Gabhlán Beag holds three visible hut remains inside a circular rampart, overlooking the Owenalondrig river. A man-made underground passage may have cut through the site, giving the place a hidden depth beneath its open slope. The huts face east-southeast, catching early light and exposing the river below. Whatever lived there also left a hole in the ground, as if the house needed a room no one could see from above.

Roughly circular univallate rath KE044-077---- situated on an ESE facing slope overlooking the Owenalondrig river. The remains of 3 hut sites are visible in the interior and a Man-made underground passage (KE044-077004-), mentioned briefly by Curran (No.3), may have been located within this site. (3) (KE044-077003-),A shallow circular depression, located to E of (KE044-077001-), may mark the site of a 3rd hut, c. 5m in diameter. The above description is derived from J.
