An Clochán Draighneach: In rough pastureland over-looking Smerwick Harbour to SW. Very ruined remains of a circular drystone hut. D: 4.1m. H: 1.55m. T: 1.35m. The lower disc of a rotary quern was found at or near this site.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 1170. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
