Terraced two-bay four-storey house, c.1825. Renovated, c.1900, with shopfront inserted to ground floor. Reroofed. Now disused. Pitched roof with replacement artificial slate, clay ridge tiles, chimney stack(s) not visible, and replacement uPVC rainwater goods on replacement eaves. Rendered, ruled and lined walls. Square-headed window openings with cut-stone sills, six-over-six and three-over-six (top floor) timber sash windows. Timber shopfront, c.1900, to ground floor with panelled (hollow) pilasters having Acanthus-detailed volute consoles, replacement (?) display windows having supporting pillar behind, replacement glazed timber panelled door having sidelight on panelled riser, and fascia having slate-lined moulded cornice. Interior with timber panelled shutters to window openings. Street fronted with concrete brick cobbled footpath to front.

A pleasant house representing an important element of the early nineteenth-century built heritage of New Ross with attributes identifying a simple, yet dignified architectural design aesthetic including the vertical quality of the massing, the diminishing in scale of the openings on each floor producing a graduated visual effect in the Classical manner, and so on. Although presently (2005) out of use, the house has historically been well maintained to present an early aspect with substantial quantities of the historic or original fabric surviving in place, both to the exterior and to the interior including a pretty shopfront of artistic interest displaying good quality carpentry or craftsmanship.
