The terrier accompanying the Down Survey (1655-6) parish map of 'Killmodum' describes, 'on Clofforke a small Castle [KK011-023001-] in good repaire with Cabbins on both Townelandes [Cloghpook and Ballyfoyle]', and 'Phillipp Pursall' is named as the proprietor. The exact location of these houses within Cloghpook townland is unknown.
