On the Down Survey (1655-6) barony map of Gowran, a house is depicted roughly centrally within the modern townland of Butlersgrove (Hibernia Regnum, courtesy of Trinity College Dublin). On the Down Survey map Butlersgrove also included the neighbouring modern townland of Bohernastrekaun or Killure. The house is also depicted on the parish map of ‘Upper Grange’ (Hibernia Regnum, courtesy of Trinity College Dublin). There is no accompanying terrier with the Hibernia Regnum version.
