End-of-terrace five-bay two-storey with dormer attic house, built c.1840, having recent glazed porch to front (east). Pitched slate roof having rendered chimneystacks and eaves course, having cast-iron and uPVC rainwater goods. Rendered walls. Square-headed window openings with limestone sills and raised moulded render surrounds, having replacement one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows. Round-headed door opening to porch interior, having timber doorcase comprising engaged Doric columns surmounted by unadorned architrave. Timber panelled door with single-pane fanlight. Red brick enclosing wall to front having moulded red brick copings, double-leaf cast-iron pedestrian gates.

Part of a terrace of five similarly designed houses, this example is unusual within the terrace in that it is of a larger scale than its neighbours. Set on an elevated site overlooking the harbour, this terrace forms part of a group of handsome nineteenth century houses which were built outside the town centre for both temporary and permanent residents who were drawn by the sea bathing and healthy air to this fashionable area. These houses add much to the town's historic character and charm. The timber sliding sash windows, render detailing and round-headed doorcase are among the noteworthy features that enhance the terrace's traditional quality.
