A house representing an integral component of the later nineteenth-century domestic built heritage of south County Wexford with the architectural value of the composition suggested by such attributes as the compact plan form centred on a restrained doorcase; the construction in a ruby-coloured Nicharee "Old Red Sandstone" producing a pleasing palette shared in common with the adjacent Catholic Church of the Assumption and Saint Laurence O'Toole (see 15704636); and the angular profile of the openings underpinning a streamlined Gothic theme. Having been well maintained, the elementary form and massing survive intact together with substantial quantities of the original fabric, thus upholding the character or integrity of a house making a pleasing visual statement in a rural street scene.
