Corner-sited end-of-terrace two-bay three-storey former house, built c.1820, with chamfered corner bay to east and two-bay side elevation. Now in use as retail outlet. Replacement wrap-around timber shopfront inserted to ground floor. Hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves, dressed stone eaves course and cast-iron rainwater goods. Lined-and-ruled rendered walls to upper floors and brick piers to ground floor. Square-headed window openings with render sills and replacement six-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows. Timber shopfront comprising timber fascia with cornice. Square-headed window openings having fixed timber-framed box bay display windows with multiple-pane overlights. Square-headed door opening having glazed timber door with multiple-pane overlight.

This fine building, with its chamfered corner, makes a positive contribution to this important central junction in Clonakilty town centre. It is one of a number of buildings in the town which maximises its street frontage by chamfering the corner, and is a feature which along with its three-storey scale, is characteristic of the town's historic core. The lined-and-ruled rendered walls, oversailing eaves and timber sliding sash windows are among the features which add to its character and charm.
