What is recorded here

Knowth, Eogan's Phase 3 Decorated Pottery complex, Eogan and Roche 1997, Eogan and Cleary 2017, County Meath, Ireland, and Caimin O'Brien are supplied. Tombs 1C, 15, Neolithic House 2, Neolithic House 3, Zone E, and Middle Neolithic appear in the facts. No separate region, time, owner, event, visible form or source-owned claim is recorded. Eogan and Roche 1997, Eogan and Cleary 2017, and Caimin O'Brien may be named only as the owners or compilers of that supplied material.
This Neolithic House site, No. 2, is part of Eogan's Phase 3 Decorated Pottery complex: Domestic activity - Zone E (Eogan and Roche 1997, 6, 54-8) is situated between Tombs 1C and 15. This Phase 3, now called Middle Neolithic, is associated with the construction of the tombs and dated to c. 3500-2900 cal. BC (Eogan and Cleary 2017, 41). Neolithic House 2 could consist of a circular area (diam. 6.5m) defined by an arc of 12 stake-holes N-E that was only partially excavated and was covered by a thin humus. No habitation layer was discovered associated with it and it partially occupies the same ground as Neolithic House 3, which it is thought to pre-date.
