Situated in the centre of the inner enclosure at Cahercommaun (CL010-064003-). A complex of rectangular structures which, according to Hencken (1938, 2; Structure 4) represent the quarters of the serving people and the kitchen as more querns were found there than elsewhere as well as two very extensive layers of ash. Cotter (1999, 67) finds it more likely that these buildings became the principal dwellings as they are centrally located and were better built. Cahercommaun is a national monument in State care.
