The precise location of the Jesuit residence and oratory in the town of Athlone that is mentioned in 1650-51 is unkown (Murtagh 1994, 10). A 17th century Jesuit School (WM029-042102-) may have been located on the grounds of this residence or may have been located elsewhere within the town of Athlone.
