Semi-detached two-storey three-bay house, built c.1830, later extended to east by one bay. Pitched slate roof with two rendered chimneystacks having replacement pots, angled ridge and hip tiles, stone verge to gable wall, cast-iron rainwater goods with one replacement uPVC downpipe. Wet-dash walling. Square-headed window openings with rendered reveals, stone sills, having multiple-pane replacement timber casement windows. Round-headed door opening with stucco pole-moulded surround. Four-panelled bolection-moulded timber door with brass furniture surmounted by plain glazed overlight to panelled lintel supported on foliate console brackets over panelled pilasters. Small name plaque to front wall of house with lettering 'Hibernian Terrace'. Set back from main road into Chapelizod behind arabesque cast-iron gate piers with original gate, and with cast-iron railings on granite plinth wall to gravel enclosure. Stone wall to south side bounding rear yard accessed via modern gate with replacement pier.

A well-proportioned late Georgian house occupying a prominent location on the eastern approach to Chapelizod village, and retaining an early aspect with a high proportion of original fabric, albeit with replacement windows. Forming a coherent pair with its neighbour, the house is much enhanced by the survival of original cast-iron railings and ornate arabesque piers. Together they make an important contribution to the eclectic character of Chapelizod forming part of an attractive group of buildings marking the entrance to the village.
