Detached four-bay single-storey vernacular house, built c.1800. Hipped reed thatched roof with raised scolloped ridge, and rendered rebuilt chimneystack. Lime rendered walls. Square-headed window openings with two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows, with tooled limestone sills. Square-headed timber sheeted entrance door. Set perpendicular to road with rendered boundary wall and decorative metal gate.

An increasingly rare sight in the Irish countryside, traditional thatched houses are a physical reminder of the craftsmanship of rural vernacular builders. This example has retained its original form and scale while the use of thatch ensures that it is a visually attractive part of the architectural heritage of the area.
