What is recorded here
Semi-detached two-bay three-storey house with canted end-bay, built c. 1870, as a pair with the adjoining house. Hipped artificial slate roof with rendered chimneystacks. Painted rendered walls. Camber-headed openings having replacement uPVC windows and continuous render sill courses. Round-headed opening with overlight and timber panelled door. Painted rendered boundary walls with square-profile piers.
The imposing scale and form of this pair make it a notable addition to the streetscape. Set on a height overlooking the sea, this pair are representative of the fine villa type buildings which were built towards the end of the nineteenth century on the outskirts of the town.
