What is recorded here
Detached four-bay single-storey thatched house, built c.1800, having flat-roofed single-storey extension to south and lean-to single-storey extension to north. Hipped reed thatched roof. Square-headed openings. Outbuildings to yard.
The long low profile of this structure is typical of many modest thatched houses in Ireland. The lack of ornamentation and the arrangement of the yard with outbuildings to the front of the house are also typical.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
