Toberyline hides a clear spring inside a rock crevice at the base of the sea cliffs south of Brandon point. The water appears only when the tide pulls back, turning the cliff foot into a temporary worship room. People may have climbed down on New Year or summer days, carrying jars into that narrow marine chamber. The sea keeps the well from casual viewing, but it returns the water to those patient enough to wait for its leave.
Toberyline/Tobar Flainn: Located at the base of the sea cliffs immediately S of Brandon point. It is a 'clear spring in a rock crevice below high tide level' (Ó Danachair 1960, 72) and was visited on June 29th as part of a turas which also included Turrasyline (KE026-003----), 500m to SW. The Co. Kerry Field Club (1948) noted that the site was visited on New Years Day. The well is not easily accessible and was not inspected during this survey.

Linked to Saint Flann, the well was traditionally visited on June 29th, the saint's feast day, for healing and protection. Locally, it was believed to have curative properties, particularly for ailments of the eyes and skin.
