One of three holy wells near the Ballynoe boundary on M. O'Riordan's land, recorded by Bowman in 1934 but never pinned to an exact spot. The water may have sustained local faith for generations before disappearing from memory, leaving behind only a number and a vague boundary line. What is lost is not the water itself but the hands that cupped it, the prayers spoken beside it, and the certainty that the earth could give back life when asked.
