Holy well dedicated to St Patrick that is situated on Greenhill Road on the outskirts of Wicklow town. According to Lynch (1994, 638) there is a holy well dedicated to St Patrick in Corporation Lands that is mentioned in the 1930s Irish Folklore Commission, Schools Manuscript Collection (IFC S 926: 115). The folklore manuscripts recorded a ‘story about St Patrick overcoming pagan magic at the well’ (IFC S 926: 115).

The holy well is dedicated to St Patrick and is associated with traditional Catholic pilgrimage practices. Local folklore may link it to healing properties, as was common with many wells dedicated to the patron saint of Ireland.
