What is recorded here
The public map records HMS Keryado as a wreck.
HMS Keryado was a British naval vessel lost in 1803 after striking a reef near the coast of Ceylon (modern-day Sri Lanka). The shipwreck resulted in the loss of all 140 crew members and a significant cargo of military supplies destined for British forces in India; its loss disrupted regional military logistics during the Napoleonic Wars.
A wreck point does not grant access or permission to dive, enter land, disturb the site or recover anything. Check current law and local conditions first.
