HMS *Switha* was a British Royal Navy Hunt-class minesweeper that struck a mine near Herwit Rock in the Firth of Forth on 23 December 1940, during World War II. The explosion caused the ship to sink rapidly, resulting in the loss of 13 of her 15 crew members; only two survived. The wreck remains as a historically significant site, reflecting the dangers faced by naval vessels during the war's early years.
