An unknown settlement in Tullintrain, County Derry, survived long enough to leave a trace but resisted every attempt to identify its people or purpose. That absence is not a failure; it is the shape of the place. The land kept its own counsel, withholding names, dates and intentions from every hand that reached for them. What is known is that it existed, that it was forgotten, and that the boundary between those two facts has never been drawn.
