Donagh is a post-medieval settlement in Moorlough, County Fermanagh, where human life left marks sharp enough for archaeology to separate them from ordinary soil. The name preserves a local identity older than modern surveying, while the ground keeps the shape of rooms, paths or fields that no longer answer to memory. Whatever lived there, it lived long enough to change the earth.
