Gateway, c.1880, comprising pair of unpainted rendered panelled piers with inscribed friezes, moulded cornices having rendered capping, and sections of random rubble stone flanking boundary walls having stone cobbled coping. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of 1 – 4 Rocklands.
An attractive gateway of modest design quality and reserved Classical detailing, which forms an elegant feature in the street scene of Pond Road.
