What is recorded here
Helmdon churchyard from the church tower is a castle, fort or tower in West Northamptonshire, England. Perhaps the tower rose as a watchpost above ordinary fields, marking boundaries for travellers and warning against raiders. Maybe its stones still carry the heat of hands that built them and the breath of people who watched the horizon from height. Imagine standing inside that chamber at dusk, listening for footsteps in another age.
