What is recorded here

The National Heritage List for England records Battle of Cropredy Bridge 1644 as a registered battlefield. The saved point comes from the centre supplied by the official record. Listing does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
Royalist forces under Prince Rupert of the Rhine defeated a Parliamentarian garrison under Sir William Waller on 29 June 1644. The battle mattered as it allowed the Royalists to secure supplies and boost morale during the First English Civil War.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
