Ardvourlie Castle and Bridge stand in Harris as a nineteenth-century structure, recorded with a point accurate to one metre. The stones may have carried carts, people or messages across water, while the castle loomed above the local landscape. That much distance between exact measurement and forgotten use leaves room for imagination.
