What is recorded here
Two trenches were excavated here in 2003 (Excavation Licence 03E1028 (Site GC4)) as part of construction work associated with Charlsland Residential Development. 'Trench A' revealed a hearth (L 0.85m N-S; Wth 0.54m) and an isolated post-hole (4m away) which contained fragments of flint debitage. 'Trench B' lay 40m to the south and revealed a number of post-holes, pits, shallow burnt spreads and 'a narrow linear feature'. (Molloy 2006, 547)
