What is recorded here

Situated on the line of a field boundary in gently undulating terrain. A nave and chancel church (int. dims. 11m x 5.3m) of uncoursed mortared rubble. The walls at the S and E still stand to their full height of c. 2.4m. The door appears to have been at the W and there are windows (without surviving details) in the E and S walls. A wall niche occurs at the E end of the S wall. Reynolds (1973, 50) mentions a decorated stone in the church which has not been located. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 December 2008
