Guildhall in Unknown Townland, Dublin City's medieval assembly place, likely stood at the upper end of Winetavern Street until demolition in 1311. Its two cellars resisted destruction and may have stored beer, grain or secrets for centuries after the hall vanished. The missing building becomes easier to imagine when much of it is gone.

Dublin City's medieval Guild hall is thought to have stood at the upper end of Winetavern Street (Gilbert 1854-9, II, 153-4). It was built partly of stone but by 1311 all except its two cellars had been demolished (CARD, I, 106, 109-10). There is no visible surface trace (FMD map 1978, L7).
