Grazing land overlooking the Oyce and Costa Hill

A named place photographed at this map point in Orkney Islands.

Roughly 50–70 metres in height, this hill is part of the low-lying volcanic and sedimentary landscape typical of the Orkney Islands. While not prominent in historical records, such elevated land would have been important for Neolithic agricultural practices and settlement patterns in the region.
