Graveyard in Saintclerans holds burials found beside medieval church remains in County Galway. Workmen opened that hidden place in July 1959, bringing forgotten people back into human memory. They may have worshipped at the small church whose stones still mark the edge of the grounds.

In July 1959 human remains were discovered by workmen on the grounds of St. Cleran's house (GA097-146003-). The site was visited by Prof. Duignan, who reported it to the National Museum of Ireland. Possibly associated with the church (GA097-146003-), as Prof. Duignan noted that the burials were found to the E of the 'last remnants of a small church whose masonry looks medieval'.
