Laharran is a quiet graveyard hidden inside a living field. The name Pairc a dalláin still carries the memory of buried people, while the boulder above the ground remains the only visible mark. That much of the place has vanished makes the field feel wider, as if the living world swallowed the graveyard instead of the graveyard holding the world.

Séan MacCarthaigh (I.T.A. Survey, 1942) notes in a field, known as "Pairc a dalláin" to the N of 'Crossair na bpáca' is a boulder where it was said "there was a graveyard at one time". The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994).
