What is recorded here
A little to the NE of St Senan's well (KE016-058----) lies a burial ground which gives its name to the townland and parish (OSNB, 1841, 61-62). It is marked on the 1841-42 and 1914-15 OS maps as 'Kilshenane Graveyard'.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 873. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
