Graveyard in Fenniscourt

Graveyard

What is recorded here

Gravel extraction scarred the Fenniscourt graveyard, dragging stones and memory into trucks while men measured profit in cubic metres. What remains is a shallow wound in County Carlow, maybe a buried church yard, maybe nothing but dirt and pride. The dead did not warn anyone. They simply stopped mattering when the machines arrived.
Possible grave-slabs within ecclesiastical enclosure (CW016-063001-). Aerial photograph (GB89.P.06) shows location of graveyard severely compromised by gravel extraction.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
