Graveyard in Dysartbeagh

Graveyard

What is recorded here

Dysartbeagh holds an unlocated graveyard that Carrigan identified as the monastery of Dearmhagh in Ossory. The exact burial ground has vanished from modern sight, leaving behind a gap where faith and death once merged. It may still mark a quiet field, a ruined chapel or a forgotten lane, waiting for someone to remember the shape of its loss.
Unlocated graveyard within townland, described by Carrigan as the monastery of Dearmhagh in Ossory (Carrigan 1905, vol. 2, 212). Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 17 December 2007
