Graveyard in Cuffsborough vanished beneath undulating countryside in County Laois, Ireland, leaving no visible surface remains. The absence defies imagination because memory requires shape. Perhaps the land swallowed the graves during some forgotten flood or human hubris. What disappears without witness cannot be mourned, only suspected.
