Graveyard in Ballynalacken holds a ruined parish church at its heart, with the oldest surviving headstone dated 1779. The trapezoidal plot stretches fifty metres east-west behind a low earthen bank, while displaced stones lean against the church like forgotten sentinels. New graves appear only north of the ruin, suggesting the living still negotiate with the dead rather than simply bury them.
