Graveslab in Portlecka lies broken across the middle of Ruan church nave, its ringed cross still visible despite gravel and wear. The slab points west, holds a double-lined cross, and keeps company with another worn cross slab at its south side. Whatever life it marked has faded, but the church still sets it where people can walk past and remember death without fear.

Set in gravel in the middle of the nave of Ruan church (CL025-070001-). A tapering slab (max. L 1.33m; Wth at top 0.44m; Wth at base 0.4m; min. D 0.6m but laid unevenly in gravel). Aligned E-W with the head to W. Broken across the middle with the two portions now 0.03m apart. A simple incised double-lined ringed cross occupies the main portion of the slab ending in a base with upturned steps 0.35m from the end of the slab. The ring of the cross occupies the entire head right to the edges. The base is rough and broken. A much worn slab (CL025-070004-) with traces of a similar cross lies immediately adjacent to S.
