Knockalehid in County Clare, Ireland holds a graveslab, marking a life ended and remembered beneath open sky. The stone may have stood for decades or centuries, bearing a name now worn smooth by rain and hands. It is not a grand monument but a quiet anchor, tying one person to the earth and the earth to the living who still pass it.
