St Francis' Abbey holds a broken limestone graveslab base, small enough to lift but heavy with forgotten prayer. A partial fleur-de-lis and oval knop still emerge from the vertical tooling, hinting that a dead person once lay beneath a cross now reduced to a garden fragment. The chamber of St Francis keeps what the world discarded, turning a lost burial into a quiet warning about impermanence.

In St Francis' Abbey (KK019-026101-). A fragment of the base of a limestone graveslab (L 0.255m; Wth 0.195m; D 0.15m). It was probably decorated with an incised floriated cross. Only portion of the incised cross-shaft, terminating in an oval knop and a partial fleur-de-lis, survive. The surface was dressed with vertical tooling using a claw chisel (Duffy 2025, no. 12).
