Graveslab in Gardens (kilkenny City By., St. Mary’s Par.) survives as a thick limestone block recut into a rough square, keeping only a narrow strip of its original cross-shaft. It belongs to St Francis' Abbey, where a floriated cross once marked death before human hands chiselled the surface into something new. The unusual thickness suggests the slab resisted forgetting, forcing its maker to break through layers of meaning rather than simply erase them.

In St Francis' Abbey (KK019-026101-). Portion of a limestone graveslab (L 0.415m; Wth 0.42m; D 0.385m) which has been recut and tooled across the surface to form a roughly square block. It was probably originally decorated with an incised floriated cross, though on a length of the deeply cut cross-shaft (Wth 0.03m) survives. It is unusually thick for a graveslab.
