Graveslab in Gardens (kilkenny City By., St. Mary’s Par.) holds a tiny limestone fragment from St Francis' Abbey, no larger than a palm, its surface broken and spalled. Two partial fleur-de-lis still emerge from an incised seven or eight-armed floriated cross, marking a grave now reduced to a garden chip. What remains is small enough to lift, yet heavy with the lost shape of a person who stood before it, prayed, or was forgotten.

Medieval Christian funerary monument, 13th–14th century. The fragmentary fleur-de-lis decoration indicates a high-status burial, possibly associated with the Abbey’s religious or aristocratic community.
