St. Mary’s Par. and Kilkenny City By. now hold a broken graveslab once buried in St. Francis' Abbey. Its tapering limestone body still carries a raised cross-shaft, bordered edges and vertical claw-chisel marks, while two similar fragments may belong to the same lost monument. What remains is small enough to lift, yet heavy with the absence of the person, date and story that the cross once pointed toward.

In St. Francis' Abbey (KK019-026101-). A fragment of a tapering limestone graveslab (L 0.46m; Wth 0.31m; D 0.12m) with chamfered sides. A length of both sides survives. The graveslab is decorated with a raised cross, though only the cross-shaft is evident on this fragment. The edges of the slab have a raised border. It is dressed with vertical tooling using a claw chisel (Duffy 2025, no. 3). It is similar in style to two another fragments (KK019-026539- and KK019-026540-) which may be from the same gravelab.
