Graveslab in Commons (duleek Lower By.) stands on its side between two piers in the south aisle of St. Cianáin’s parish church, County Meath. The large stone bears bishop images on both sides and may mark Dr. James Cussack, Catholic Bishop of Meath from 1679 to 1688, who also served as parish priest of Duleek. Its placement turns a buried life into a visible presence, inviting worshippers to walk past the man rather than forget him.
