Graveslab in Ballynacourty marks one life or a small cluster of burials, yet the absence of a visible chamber does not diminish its weight. It is a stone threshold where the living world thins, and the dead continue participating in the shape of the landscape. To stand beside it is to be reminded that memory does not require grandeur; it requires only that someone set a marker and return it to attention.
