Graveslab in Athy is a lost burial marker from the levelled Priory of St. Thomas and Hospital of St. John. It bore the name William Watson and the date November 30th 1635, yet no one now knows where it lay. The priory itself has vanished beneath soil and forgetting, leaving only a name preserved in old notes. What remained of Watson, and what he tended within those walls, has slipped away with the stones.

According to Bradley et al. (1986a, vol. 1, 58), both Fitzgerald and Hannon recorded a graveslab which bore a raised inscription, 'William Watson November 30th 1635', at the levelled Priory of St. Thomas and Hospital of St. John - Fratres Cruciferi (KD035-022006-).
