What is recorded here

Graveslab stands in Athenry, County Galway, marking one life or lineage beneath the soil. Its exact history has not been recorded, but the stone still points to a person important enough to remember. Perhaps a child, parent, lover or neighbour lay beneath it, named and known in a household long gone. The absence of a date does not erase the fact that someone lived, was lost, and was marked.
