Grave Yd. is a living graveyard on a ridge above Skerries, preserving stones from the 16th century beside markers placed through the 20th. Its highest level holds an 18th-century bell-tower raised where a medieval church and Augustinian Priory once stood. The site still receives the dead, while medieval floor tiles recovered nearby suggest that older foundations still lie beneath the grass.

The church (DU005-031001-) and graveyard (DU005-031002-) of Holmpatrick (Inis Pádraig/Patrick's Island) stands 720m to the S of Skerries and 200m W of the Dublin coast with St. Patrick's Island (DU005-019----) 2.1km to the NE. Present remains consist of a large irregular-shaped area (Dims. c. 60m sq. ) enclosed by post-1700 stone wall on the SW end of a prominent ridge overlooking Skerries village and the E coast. The graveyard is on three levels, the oldest section is the highest where the 18th-century bell-tower stands on the site of the medieval church (DU005-031001-) and Augustinian Priory (DU005-031----). The graveyard contains three 16th century tombstones (DU005-031003/004/005-) and a single 17th century headstone (DU005-031006-), the majority of the grave markers date from the 18th-20th centuries. Medieval floor tiles were recovered from a grave 37m ENE of the extant 18th century tower (Baker 2002, 143). Possible remnants of the 18th-century church fabric have been incorporated into the upper graveyard wall. Graveyard is still in use.
