What is recorded here
Grave Yd. is a sub-rectangular graveyard in County Louth, Ireland, holding the remains of a 15th or 16th century church in its northwest corner. The site measured roughly 86 metres long and 51 metres wide on an 1835 map, large enough for generations to bury their dead beside ancient stone. People may have walked past broken church walls for centuries, placing markers in soil that remembered prayers long forgotten.
Sub-rectangular graveyard indicated on 1835 'OS 6-inch' map (map dims. max. L 86m NW-SE; max. Wth. 51m NE-SW) with remains of 15th/16th century church (LH011-061001-) in NW.
